(More customer reviews)This is a very comfortable shoe.It runs true to size, or maybe a little big.It seems like it's been designed for runners who land heel first -- or for walkers. I'm more of a forefoot striker, so I like to wear them around town, and for runs under 7 miles.When I wear them for longer runs, the friction builds up and I get hot spots.I think the "fulcrum" is designed for a heel-striking runner, and I can't seem to get the stride right.

PUMA Men's Pwr-C 2.10 Tricks FG Soccer Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)When you don't play soccer very often and you're up against people who are 20 years younger you need an edge. That's where my new Puma's come in. Comfortable, light and sturdy they allow me to make the most of my limited soccer talents.

I would highly recommend them to anyone who can't splash out out the $200+ cleats but want more bang for their buck than the mundane $50 pairs.

A great product at a great price.

New Balance Men's MT910 Trail Running Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)Here's a tip for sneaker buyers.If you find a model you like, buy several pairs immediately, because you can be sure the manufacturer will discontinue that model.

My preference is for Gore-tex lined trail runners.That's not because I'm a trail runner.Rather, I'm a nature photographer who spends a lot of time in muddy woods carrying a 40 pound pack of camera gear on my back, and the trail runners take up the impact of my heavy load while the gore-tex keeps my feet dry.I also prefer that they not have mesh tops to help keep my feet a little warm on a cool day when I'm sitting waiting for a fox to show up.

My recent favorite was the New Balance MTI1100 that provided the fit, support and comfort that I wanted, seemed to be designed for an over-pronator like me, and was the only Gore-tex trail runner in their line.Naturally NB discontinued it.I knew that NB often just updated a shoe, adding a digit to the model number but when I looked on their web-site there was no model MTI1101 or anything near it.Instead there was only one trail runner with gore-tex, the MT910GT.It had mesh tops, but I figured I'd sacrifice the warmth, especially since New Balance was the only comfortable shoe I'd been able to find since Montrail was acquired by Columbia Sportswear.

The bottom line is of course that I couldn't wear the shoes.Although NB claims cushioning and stability with an Abzorb sole, the soles felt hard and paper thin.I couldn't feel comfortable in these shoes even when I was walking around without a load.Ultimately they went to the Salvation Army.It may be that somebody can wear these shoes, but not someone who needs cushioning and stability.

ASICS Men's GEL-Ds Trainer 15 Running Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)This is by far the best model I've worn. I use to run in motion control because I had issues with overpronation. Recently, I decided to change my foot strike from heel to mid-foot to reduce injuries. Now that I'm a mid-foot striker, I wanted to gradually transition out of motion control to a minimal running shoes. I went from Brooks Beast to Asics Evolution to Asics Kayano to Mizuno Wave Inspire and now Asics GEL-DS. The heels are much lower than my previous shoes and they stay out of the way when I strike the ground. They are light and II'm running faster during my speed workouts. They fit like a glove and I have no issues with blisters. I want to eventually transition to a minimal running shoes, but I like these so much that I might continue to run in them for the long run.

The only issue I have with this shoe is the soles are wearing fast. I have 50 miles in them and the outside edge of my fore-foot is wearing fast. I hope they last 300 miles.

New Balance Women's WR1224 Running Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)I've been a NB runner for years in this series- first 1221, then 1222. I skipped the 1223 and bought 1224 this year. Be wary on buying from the internet b/c the sizing on this shoe is different than previously. In both the 1221 and 1222, I was an 8. In this shoe, I'm a 9! I ordered the 8.5 and now I have to return it-- even that's too small. The toe box in particular seems a lot tighter than on previous shoes. So make sure to order the right size for you.

(More customer reviews)These shoes look great!I like the sleek look of the shoe.When I first tried them on they felt good but when I worked out in them the material gave a lot.Sort of like genuine leather, the material is synthetic but feels like real leather.So they run a little big maybe a 1/2 size.The back of my heel was slipping during my workout.

They have great cushion, I had the setting on Train which is the low cushion setting and they felt good.The problem I had was when I pushed the Run setting, the air cushion is supposed to raise in the heel and the forefoot but I barely felt any change.I think one of the shoes did not even inflate.
