(More customer reviews)I am a heavy runner (5.10, 160+) and used to run in Sauconys because they came in wide sizes , had good cushioning, and look pretty good.After trying this shoe I switched.The 10.5 D in the New Balance WR 760 is wider and roomier than the Saucony ProGrid Hurricane size 11 D I tried at the same time.(They cost significantly less, too.)There was enough room for me to use my orthotics with the supplied insert, providing more cushioning.I was so impressed I ordered 2 more pairs in different colors from Amazon.They are good-looking, especially for New Balance, which I avoided in the past because they were usually kinda ugly, making the fact that I have huge feet even more noticeable.They feel like more expensive shoes.

New Balance Women's WR1224 Running Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)I've been a NB runner for years in this series- first 1221, then 1222. I skipped the 1223 and bought 1224 this year. Be wary on buying from the internet b/c the sizing on this shoe is different than previously. In both the 1221 and 1222, I was an 8. In this shoe, I'm a 9! I ordered the 8.5 and now I have to return it-- even that's too small. The toe box in particular seems a lot tighter than on previous shoes. So make sure to order the right size for you.

(More customer reviews)I find these shoes to be very stable.The outside of the shoes, on the inside by the arches, look a little like old lady shoes because of the support.When I'm wearing these shoes, my ankles are really straight (I overpronate).Yes, the shoes have a very wide toe box, which is good for me.I have a narrow heel and have been able to tie the shoes to keep my heels from slipping.I wear them to the gym and at home when I am working around the house.

(More customer reviews)I have bought the wx1009 new balance shoe for 5 years, they discontinued it and replaced it with the wx1010 and increased the price.The shoe has no quality, and no support.I am very dissapointed with this product.I work out 5 days a week and need a good supportive cross trainer and always found it in the wx 1009.It will cost me 10 dollars to send this shoe back, I am very dissapointed in the replacement and in new balance.

Brooks Men's Beast Running Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)My podiatrist told me he would have 75% fewer clients if everyone wore Brooks Beasts. These are the best shoes for folks with flat feet and heavy pronation. At first they feel clunky and look big, but you soon get used to it once you realize that your feet don't hurt anymore! I walked Disney for three straight days in these and never complained, but yet a few hours in trendy shoes and I wince the next morning. I wish Brooks made athletic cleats, I would buy those too.

Money very well spent, and I will never buy any other brand of running shoe but Brooks.
