(More customer reviews)I was a little worried that the shoes would not fit because I'm not very familiar with the european sizing chart, but they were a perfect fit. This shoe is both though and comfortable, they have generous toe room and the insole offers very good support, the outsole has an agressive patern that grips the soil very good. The waterproof membrane is not stiff or uncomfortable like other shoes and boots that I have owned, this shoe feels like a sneaker. The outside leather is soft but looks like it can handle a good hike through the mountains, I recieved more than I was expecting and the price I payed was a bargain at $50.00, but I would still buy another pair if they were in the $100-$130 range, I probably will look for another offer and get a second pair, great shoes!

The price may seem to be a big on the higher side, but the material and comfort makes up for it.And then no conventional laces...something unique! Highly recommend to anyone willing to spend above $100

ECCO Women's Dhaka Lo GTX Hiking Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased these hiking shoes primarily as they are waterproof and I believed ECCO made a very high quality product.As I was preparing for 2 weeks of vacation in Alaska and typically work a 9-5 desk job, I wanted shoes that would be comfortable for walking yet still waterproof and supporting, I'm not really a "hiker", but wanted solid footing.

I wore these shoes at most a dozen times around the house to break them in doing some gardening and errands.They are very comfortable; which is more than I can say for most leather hiking shoes right out of the box.Imagine my surprize when getting off the plane on the first day of the two week vacation that I purchased these shoes for, and the bottom rivet on the laces of the right shoe has broken away.The one at the toe end of the laces???That one doesn't even get tightened or pulled on.I frankly cannot believe the rivit would have any reason to break.

If the shoes had not broken within the first several wearings I would highly recommend them, as their materials overall are wonderful, but they did break and I have been unable to find any place within the amazon website to contact for any repair.For that reason one star is all I can recommend.

ECCO Men's Tongariro Outdoor Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)I had open ankle surgery two months ago and got the cast off just a couple weeks ago.Since then my old Nikes don't fit my left foot well at all.I already owned a pair of Ecco Trek IV boots and because they were so comfortable, I went looking for some Eccos that would be a better fit.

I found these Tongariro Lace-Ups and tried them on.They are so light, so comfortable, and such a good fit, it's almost hard to believe.They aren't meant for strenuous running because they don't have all the cushioning of running shoes. But they're great for walking, light jogging, and all-around comfort.

As soon as I'm able to begin running again, I'm going to get a pair of Eccos designed for that purpose.These shoes are well-built, and though they cost a little more than the more popular brands, they're more than worth it.When you buy a Nike, you're buying the "swoosh" logo and the Nike name.When you buy Eccos, you're paying for comfort and quality.

Highly recommended.

ECCO Men's Track II Low Gore-Tex&#174 Oxford Review

(More customer reviews)These are my only business casual shoe. I have low arches and plantar fascia injury to both feet with bone spurs. I can put a couple of miles on these things in a day with no problem, whatsoever. I can do a lot of walking at my job and could not tolerate it in anything else other than a very select group of athletic shoes. I've had two pair of the boots and four pair of the shoes over the last dozen years or so. I put a lot of miles on them and wear them 4-5 days a week, all day. Yes, I've had one pair of the boots and one pair of the shoes, where the soles have disintegrated. However, this was after a ton of wear and very high miles. Other shoes people have said will hold up (i.e. New Balance, Rockports, Vasque, Merrill, Soloman, Red Wing, all have significant wear in the heel (flat edges, rolled heels, busted seams) that make them equally intolerable at a similar amount of miles. Of course, you cannot resole the Ecco's. That's one disadvantage. I obviously have no problem recommending or buying these shoes and have gotten great service and comfort from them. The fact that they are waterproof is a big plus. I hate the price and always look for a bargain. But, for my feet, I've found no shoe that can replace the Track II's.
