(More customer reviews)I was born with flat feet, and along with that I developed an unnatural gait, which lead to a diagnosis of plantar facsiitis.As I approach my 65th year, walking has become increasingly difficult despite orthotics and other types of foot and ankle supports.

One month ago, I purchased a pair of MBT shoes and immediately noticed an improvement in the way I walked and in the way my feet felt after a long walk.I walk several miles daily with my two yellow labs.I now own four different versions of MBT footwear - sandals for summer, sports shoes for casual dress, regular shoes for everyday wear and the boots for hiking with my dogs.

I wish MBT'shad been available 60 years ago as I am sure my foot problems would be minimal today.

(More customer reviews)The first to fit my feet with no discomfort. Wow, Vibram has created a shoe designed to fit a healthy toe spread! No more cramming toes into disfiguring shoes. If you like to go barefoot a lot, or you do yoga or you just have a healthy natural toe spread, then you will love these shoes as well. They are not pretty, no doubt about it, but the extreme comfort compensates for it a hundred times over. I use mine when I am exercising outdoors or doing "sporty" activities. Otherwise, I am usually in open toe sandals or barefoot. Based on the fivefingers sizing chart, I thought I was going to be a size 38, but I was planning to wear mine with toe socks so I decided to try them on locally. I ended up purchasing a size 39 so I suggest sizing up if you have doubts. They do take a little longer to put on, but that gets quicker with practice. Also, if you are not accustomed to being "barefoot", prepare to work muscles in your feet and legs that you may not have used before.

(More customer reviews)These shoes are AMAZING.I'm 57, 50# overweight and work at a hospital where I put in six 12 hour shifts, then have 8 days off. On hard floors I average 6-8 miles of walking a night. I have one flat foot and one with a good arch. My flat foot starts to ache about 1/2 way through the shift. So I and others in this profession have tried just about every new idea that comes down the pike. Z-coils worked well but eventually I settled in to Crocs because of their comfort & coolness- you can take them off easily and so when you sit you can slip out of them and let your feet cool off. But then several of us tried MBTs. I couldn't believe it- no pain in my feet whatsoever, even after long shifts. I found myself on my feet more and moving around. I guess some folk take a few tries at them before they get used to them but I found the day I bought them I could float around in them without any mishap. They do feel different- all your weight seems to be centered in the middle of your foot- kind of a rocker feeling which forces you to keep your balance. Not a shoe to run in but for standing & walking they seem to be the best shoe out there. Until something better comes along I'll be wearing these while I work and at home whenever I'm on my feet for a long time. I guess the only thing I don't like about them is the price- but what price are you willing to pay for comfort on the job? James in Ninilchik, Alaska

Etonic Men's Minado 3 MC Motion Control Shoe Review

Brooks Men's Beast Running Shoe Review

(More customer reviews)My podiatrist told me he would have 75% fewer clients if everyone wore Brooks Beasts. These are the best shoes for folks with flat feet and heavy pronation. At first they feel clunky and look big, but you soon get used to it once you realize that your feet don't hurt anymore! I walked Disney for three straight days in these and never complained, but yet a few hours in trendy shoes and I wince the next morning. I wish Brooks made athletic cleats, I would buy those too.

Money very well spent, and I will never buy any other brand of running shoe but Brooks.
