KEEN Blackcomb Winter Boot - Women's Review

KEEN Blackcomb Winter Boot - Women's

This is my second pair of Keen winter boots, the first were Growlers; they were worn into the ground! This is a far better boot for me, the ankle support is more flexible and the fit across the bridge is easier to adjust so that it is snug where you want it and eases off where you want it and stays there. Growler lacing tended to slip in the metal loops. This boot holds your foot in place yet gives you toe wriggle room! I go by european sizes and would sugest to anyone getting them to go 1/2 a size bigger than your normal size. They are now the only boot I wear in a Tasmanian winter but I can also wear them comfortably right up to summer. A good boot makes your ankles knees and back happy and keeps your toes snug.....get happy feet, grab these boots!

KEEN Cimarron Water Shoe - Men's Review

KEEN Cimarron Water Shoe - Men's

The Cimarron Water Shoe is a very comfortable shoe, however shortly after receiving them and having exposed them to a little mud they were washed in a conventional washing machine where the stitching around the top area under the ankle became unraveled. Unfortunately, like so many products sold in our country today, this shoe is manufactured in Communist China. The poor quality of stitching was due to the manufacturing process and not the design itself. I returned the shoes for another selection.

KEEN Powerline Shoe - Men's Review

KEEN Powerline Shoe - Men's
Average Reviews:

I have both the Keen Powerline and the Wasatch and actually they both feel the same to my feet with only minor aesthetic differences and a difference in the fabric. Even the technical specs are about the same and I wear them for the same purpose, as mixed use trainers.I looked at both set of specs for a long time before deciding getting one of each instead of 2 pairs of one.

What I like most about the Powerline and Keen shoes in general is that the toe box is wide. I have wide feet and I just don't understand why sports shoes companies don't make more sports shoes with wide toe boxes. These Keens are very comfortable for my wide feet and very sturdy. The specs say they're moisture wicking, they feel a little warm for me in the summer, but that could be because I wear thick socks. My socks are also moisture wicking and that has led me to wonder what happens when you wear moisture wicking socks but not moisture wicking shoes, do you end up with a puddle of sweat between your socks and your shoes?

The specs say to buy them a 1/2 size bigger and I definitely agree with that. The pair which is 1/2 size bigger than my usual size is definitely more comfortable.

In summary, they're very light and very comfortable and after getting these Keens I'm not sure I'd ever buy any other brand of athletic shoes again.

I'm biased to Keens, they're pretty much all I wear.
The Arroyos feel great, have great support, go anywhere, do anything.
I gave 4 stars but considered 3 because without socks your feet get hot.You wouldn't think open shoes would get hot, but they do. I still really like them more than the Newports for the convenience and support of the full heel cup. They slip on and off and are more of a shoe, so I can wear them to work.

KEEN Genoa Peak Shoe - Women's Review

KEEN Genoa Peak Shoe - Women's

I was really on the fence about what size to order since I read several reviews that said they were true to size but the on the [...] site it states that these run a half size small. I am usually a pretty solid 8 ½ and I own one other pair of Keens (Venice in leather) that are also a size 8 ½ and they fit, although it is a snug fit (meaning that sometimes the tips of my big toes touch the end when I am standing around but not enough rub or hurt).I decided to go with the 8 ½ again and they fit pretty much the same way my other pair does; they definitely fit, but with little room to spare (this is with typical athletic socks on). If I were to order them again, I would go up a ½ size just for the extra roominess. [...]. These shoes are like a heavy sneaker and are a little stiff across the top and do take a little breaking in to loosen them up (although they did not hurt my feet straight out of the box), they just get more comfy as you work the leather a little. I have them in coffee/scuba and they are very cute and look good with both jeans and shorts.

I haven't tried everything on the market, but have sampled plenty in 30+ years of hiking and backpacking, and I've never encountered a boot as comfortable as the Keen Voyageur Mid. For day-hiking and 2-3 day backpacking trips in relatively dry conditions, the Keen provides great support and comfort. Little breaking in is required. For hiking in wet conditions, go for the Targhee Mid, which is basically the same boot with a waterproof liner.

KEEN Targhee ll Hiking Shoe - Men's Walnut, 10.0 Review

KEEN Targhee ll Hiking Shoe - Men's Walnut, 10.0
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I use to work extensively on mountain tops doing remote communication site work. I needed something that would keep my feet relatively dry and provided great traction. These shoes were great! The problem was they were and are cheaply engineered and do not last under even normal walking conditions. The sole wears away, the tread disappears, nothing on this shoe is built to last and at a price of over 100 dollars its not worth it. I initially thought that the reason my Keen Targhees were wearing out was that I was that rough on them. So I bought 2 pairs at the same time and used 1 set for just driving shoes/ walking downtown and the other for mountain trips. It didn't matter which I did they lasted about the same time plus or minus a month. The only noticable difference was my mountain set was weathered just a bit more from the inclimate weather I subject them to. But all of the typical failures were prevalent on both sets. If you are in to shelling out 100+ dollars every 6 months for these then go right ahead. I have seen so many reviews just like mine that you'd figure Keen would do something about it by now. Alas its been 4 years since I bought my first pair and they are still being put together the same and failing the same. -The Alaskan Keen Reviewer

I bought a pair of these a year ago.The have quickly become my favorite pair of shoes, next to my Keen Newport sandals. They are very comfortable!!I was working in a garden center last summer, where I frequently walked in water, which is why I bought these. They dried out quickly, so I didn't have soggy feet all day.I walk around all day in these and my feet never feel tired.I plan to buy another pair in another color.

The only way I can fully describe my admiration for this shoe is with a story. My dad and I go on an annual backpacking trip near his house in Montana. We're pretty serious backpackers - sometimes doing over 30 miles in two days. This past summer I got all my stuff together and flew to Montana to go on the trip but realized the day before that I had forgot my trusty boots.I had no choice but to buy new shoes and backpack with themwithout breaking them in (breaking cardinal rule # 1 for backpackers). We went with the intent to "take it easy" and planned out a route of 20 miles in three days, but after the first 8 miles my feet were so happy that we extended the trip.It was some of the best packing I've ever done. And not only did I not get any blisters, but I didn't get to the campsite with a fanatical desire to take off my shoes.Since then, I purchased an extra pair of these Keen boots because they make my feet just that happy. :)

Some very cool features are: easy to waterproof - mine never leak, the little eyelits at the top keep your laces snug while you tie, feel more like sneakers than boots, adequate ankle support, VERY light (VERY important after twenty miles of hiking!) and good tread.Cheers!
