This is a far better boot for me, the ankle support is more flexible and the fit across the bridge is easier to adjust so that it is snug where you want it and eases off where you want it and stays there. Growler lacing tended to slip in the metal loops. This boot holds your foot in place yet gives you toe wriggle room! I go by european sizes and would sugest to anyone getting them to go 1/2 a size bigger than your normal size. They are now the only boot I wear in a Tasmanian winter but I can also wear them comfortably right up to summer. A good boot makes your ankles knees and back happy and keeps your toes snug.....get happy feet, grab these boots!
