(More customer reviews)These were a gift from my wife (his and hers). We immediately took them into the White Mountains of NH. They grip very well, but there was one major difficulty. My pair kept slipping off the heels. They are adjustable, but am not crazy about the poor fastening directions(no words,just pictorials) or the ease of tightening. So it may be they were not correctly secured, but will not know until the next trip when we will adjust them again. I'd say if you have size 10 feet or larger, you will be more likely to have this problem.
