I read about these in Backpacker and was pleased to find them at a discounted price on Amazon.Took one good day of walking to break them in; and after that, like a slipper!I returned and bought another pair.

I bought these boots after trying on several other competing brands in a local outdoor sports store. I slipped my feet into these and knew I had to have them. They fit like a glove and needed no breaking in at all. I wore them immediately for arduous hikes of 20 miles or more in the South African bush on a walking safari. Waterproof and so comfortable, with good support. Lightweight too! Highly recommended and well worth the expense.

Thanks to slightly flexible uppers, these Lowa boots require no break-in time and won?t rub your calf raw the way some overkill leather boots can.

Hi-Tec Women's Multiterra Ultra Mid WP Hiking Shoe Review

These boots are stiff--be sure to allow plenty of breaking-in time! After the break-in, they are comfortable, sturdy shoes. I wore them hiking in the Grand Canyon, and they provided good support for the rocky terrain. My only complaint is that my feet get hot and sweaty when I wear them, but I suppose that's to be expected for a waterproof boot. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and I can't wait to put more miles on them!
