Purchased this boot because a friend has a pair of Vasque trail shoes she likes very much. We wear the same size so I bought the boot for a caving and hiking trip. The boot is unnecessarily bulky but at the same time way to narrow causing unsure footing and off-kilter balance. The worst part however, is that my feet slide to the front of the shoe whenever walking down even the slightest slope. This causes severe foot pain as my toes were, more often then not, jammed in the front of the shoe despite the shoe fitting nicely. Not sure what kind of design flaw this is but i had someone else try the boots during a hike and the same thing happened to her. Another flaw in their make is the upper cuff where the back of the ankles meets the top of the boot. There is no downward cut like most hiking boots which normally allows for the ankle to move freely back and forth. Because of this a blister started to form where the back of my leg was rubbing against the boot.I would NOT recommend wasting big bucks or any bucks for that matter, on this terribly designed boot.
