I had hoped these would double as walking shoes, and while they could... they don't seem to have the same support as, say, the New Balance Walkers (although I'll concede that's a little like comparing apples and kiwis).Very good looking, although that's personal taste. My only problems were that the silver mesh over the top of the shoe was a little brighter than expected, and the heel (generally a problem for me) was not as snug as I needed, there was some slippage when I tried these out in the house. I'm probably returning them, but that's just my own experience with fit.Still, a quality shoe with thoughtful construction. I recommend going to their website to find out more about design and features.

I ordered 1/2 size larger than usual, but apparently I'm one of the 32% who don't find the shoe larger than expected. The width was fine, and while insole provide support, they are removable so that you can replace them with either prescription or other orthotics if you think it's not sufficient.Pearl states that the shoes is designed for those who "over-pronate."
