(More customer reviews)At first look these appeared to be flawed in certain areas. Little did I know that the manufacture actually designed this shoe around the needs of your feet. There is a toe box that gives your toes wiggle room with a short ledge right at the base of your toes that helps with support and balance. The tongue is designed to be thicker on one side to bettter fit your ankle. There are suports on the ankle side to help support the ankle properly. The laces are actually on a diagonal, not straight across, to help the shoe move with your foot. There is a little booklet that tells all about the designs. Any way , Anxious to try them out, my wife and I decided to spend the day at a science center, all day on my feet walking on concrete. They were awesome, No blisters, no sore feet, nothing. There is no break in period unlike the cheapie shoes they sell at Walmart, that break in your feet before the shoes break in.
Garmonts are my new favorite shoe. My other pair are Doc Martin work shoes, also a great shoe, but they dont offer a hiking shoe.
Dont hesitate to buy these. This isthe best price I found on the net.
