These boots weigh next to nothing and fit my feet like a glove!? They are true to size and comfortable straight from the box. Their first outing was a 13km hike without problem. The sole is easy to walk on trails and grips great rockhopping.

Lowa Women's Khumbu Mid GTX Trekking Boot Review

These are the most comfortable hiking shoes I have ever had! I tried several different hiking shoes, but I couldn't find anything this comfortable like these. I found some were too tough (the leather) around the toes or too tight around the ankles, but everything is perfect with these shoes! They have great support around the ankles but still have enough support. I went hiking with these shoes next day they arrived, but I had no complaints.
Only thing may confusing was the sizing. I usually wear 7.5 or 8, but I ordered 7 after reading some reviews. I have super wide feet and high instep, but still got some room for my toes move and never felt my pinkies were squeezed in. I would say definitely order half size down, or even consider 1 size down.

Asolo Fugitive GTX Hiking Boot - Men's Review

Asolo Fugitive GTX Hiking Boot - Men's
Average Reviews:

I have been using a pair of Merrill mid pulse that I wanted to upgrade.I do a lot of hiking in the Chugach Mountains in Alaska and need something that grips well, but I like light weight. I tried on at least a dozen different shoes before choosing this pair.I have never owned a pair of Asolo before now.
The Fugitive fit the best in the store and seemed to hold my feet in place, even when facing straight downhill.I went out today, 5 degrees F, packed/icy trail, climbing 900 feet in elevation in less than a mile.At one point there is a 10 inch wide ice ridge to traverse.I loved the gripping aspect of my Merrills, but these boots are even better. The ridgid lateral support is excellent for a boot that doesn't have external plastic. No slipping going up or down hill.Toes dug in nicely on very hard pack.On the way down the lower part of the trail has some horse traffic and I stepped into a hoof print hole.Other than tripping, the support of these boots saved me from a bad sprain at minimum.
We will see what time brings, but so far I am extremely pleased with the support and stability of these boots. No internal foot slipping.Feet stayed warm with just one pair of midium weight wool socks.

Though they weigh only 3lb (size 8.5), these Asolo boots provide excellent support and traction with their burly Syncro outsole, and have an ultra-secure lacing system, which reduces heel lift. Asolo Stynger GTX Hiking Boot - Women's Review

Asolo Stynger GTX Hiking Boot - Women's

THE most comfortable mid/light-weight hiking/backpacking boots by far! No break in time needed. I'm a 5' tall, female, had 37 pounds on her back and with the help of the Asolo Styngers, made the trip easy!

My entire foot was submerged (briefly) in mud/slushy water and the foot stayed dry (thanks to the Gore-Tex lining).
The boot has a nice grip on boulders and rocks.
Cannot stress enough on the comfort, no break in time needed of this boot.

Highly recommend!

The Asolo Styngers may not be the boot for you so I recommended you try on this (and other brands) before making your final decision since we all have unique feet.

Product Description:
Lace up the Asolo Stynger GTX Women's Backpacking Boots when you're covering long distances on the trail but don't want the weight or bulk of beefy boots. These sporty boots weight only 2lb 7oz (size 6.5), but pack in the heavy-duty features that make big hikes more comfortable. A Gore-Tex lining keeps your dogs nice and dry when you hit the trail after last night's rainstorm, and the Asolo Syncro sole provides excellent traction on muddy hillsides and slick rocks. The Stynger's lacing system locks your heel in place to eliminate lift and allows precision footwork on rough, steep trails that feel impossible in a big pair of waffle stompers.

This shoe is a great shoe for semi-serious hikers! It takes a little while to break in so be sure to allow enough time before your hike. The high ankle offers great support but takes some getting used to.This shoe is lighter than other full leather boots but is heavier than my previous boot.Again, buy this in plenty of time to break it in and use a high quality sock.

Saucony Women's ProGrid Hurricane 10 Running Shoe Review

Saucony Women's ProGrid Hurricane 10 Running Shoe
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My first pair of Hurricanes were the light blue/white ones.I have just gotten my 2nd pair in the black and silver.

These shoes are very durable and I found them to be very comfortable. They have held up well with no visible wear, though I ONLY use them on the treadmill and don't know what track or trail running would do to them.

I have flat feet that pronate when I run. These keep my arches stable.
I should note that I have terrible knees-- knees that should have had surgery 11 yrs ago (orthopedic surgeon recommendation!).I have never been able to run daily without knee pain until I got these shoes.I run at least every other day for 30 minutes and the first pair lasted me 6 months... that's pretty good considering their mileage!

These are highly recommended if you have pronation and joint problems!!

UPDATE:I have recently purchased the new Hurricane 11.While they are extra cushioned I would warn someone with feet that are flat (like mine) that these are uncomfortable on your arches.I came off the treadmill with blisters in my arch. The new ones fit much snugger and I felt like my feet were being squeezed lifeless... I do not have wide feet but an average width).I will stockpile the Hurricane 10's as they are much better for flat feet.
