(More customer reviews)I bought these boots for my husband, his second pair of Vasque Men's Breeze Hiking Boots. To say that he likes it is huge praise, given that he looks at everything with a critical, discerning eye.
But perhaps the most impressive aspect of this boot is its durability. My husband wears these boots every day. All day. He has no other walking shoes. This was true of the last pair of Vasques as well, which lasted more than three years. That's phenomenal for a shoe that is worn so heavily and so often.
Comfort is his other demand and Vasque delivers. Because these boots come in an extra wide size (as well as normal widths), he is able to walk in a shoe that doesn't cause his feet to cramp and hang over the side of the footbed. Wide sizes are difficult to come by in a waterproof hiking boot. He also likes the rocking motion of this shoe.
I should note that he uses these primarily as street shoes and occasionally for light hikes, but for more strenuous treks, he switches to a harder boot. Recommended.
