I am a '30-40 mile a week' runner with slight pronation. In the past, I ran in the Sauconny Grid Omni. I loved theshoe until I went to a running store and got the Brooks Trance GTS recommended. I ran in this Brooks shoe for a long time: They were so light, so nicely cushioned, I thought never to wear another shoe. Until I needed another shoe and went to a running shoe place asked to be fitted and to get some recommendation. The knowledgeable sales guy recommened not the go with the Brooks anymore as the new model was not as cushioned and high in quality as the last model He gave me a couple of shoes to try out and I put the Mizuno Nirvana on and...felt like in Nirvana. I have been running in the shoe now for 3 months and I have been logging quite a few miles and they still feel perfect. The best is....with my Sauconny and Brooks I had knee problems...not during runs, but afterwards. Sometimes when I knelt and wanted to get up, a sharp pain would hit me and I had to adjust my knee to actually get up. As I had never had knee problems before in my life and during my runs, I decided to ignore it. The Mizuno Nirvana has taken care of it totally. Since I started running in them, I have not had the knee problem or any other foot/knee problems (I don't wear any insoles, etc. in my running shoes). My life with Mizuno is perfect...except for the price (that's why it's getting only 4 stars).
