(More customer reviews)I own two pairs of these which I've used to train for and compete in numerous 5ks, a 10k, 2 sprint triathlons, and a half marathon. Only a "middle-of-the-pack, age-grouper", but I still get out there and have fun!

These shoes seemed to perform well for me, so I purchased a third pair because I was notified that they would "soon be unavailable" (something I've since learned shoe companies do to boost sales--discontinuation of models at various times). However, all 3 pairs are now gathering dust in my closet.

A friend recommended the book BORN TO RUN by Christopher McDougall and--before I even got a chance to take the new Adistars out of the box--I've become a convert to the barefoot/minimalist running movement. I now run almost exclusively in Vibram FiveFingers (KSOs or Bikilas); 12-15 miles per week.

Check out the Vibram FiveFingers if you have the chance. If you like going barefoot, you'll LOVE the "feel" of them. The muscles in your legs and feet will very likely take some adjusting to the new style, but--after only one month, my 50-year-old knees & hips no longer have any significant joint pain and running seems MUCH easier!

Nothing against Adidas specifically, I've just chosen to cast off my "over-engineered foot coffins" (that have only really been around since the 1970s) in favor of running the way minimally shod or unshod humans have been running for millennia!

(More customer reviews)I am 62 years of age and my running shoe of choice for years was adidas ozweego classic. I understand these shoe companies believe in fixing what is not broken so I needed a replacement shoe when the ozweego's were discontinued. I analysed close to 50 shoes and several I bought were unacceptable so I called Adidas and they suggested I try adistar line. I settled on the Ride after reading the online description and purchased without
trying on since stores in my area do not carry adistar. I was very pleasantly surprised how comfortable these shoes are . Bear in mind i am a neutral runner with a low arch.
These shoes run true to size precisely and they really do fit like a glove and i will buy another pair. The only reason i did not give 5 stars is the tongue could be slightly longer and on the pair i bought it is solid yellow. More importantly since these shoes are
made for coolness the upper support particularly on the sides is lacking compared to the ozweego classics. I weigh 160 and i don't expect to get the wear from these as i did the Ozweego's but comfort wise they are better than i anticipated without even trying them on which i certainly do not recommend. My foray into New Balance running shoes was a huge disappointment. The closest in comfort to these that i tried was Asics Gel series which are also very acceptable comfortwise.
